Kale Smoothie Recipe
I recently decided that my body was in need of lots of veggies! So, every morning, I've been making a kale smoothie.
The first smoothie I made wasn't the best....it was a little bitter and very stringy. And, I had added some blueberries which made it turn brown in color. I discovered the solution: use frozen kale and don't add blueberries!
Ingredients:
2-3 cups of frozen kale (I buy it pre-washed and cut from Trader Joe's)
fresh squeezed orange juice
Optional: shredded carrot or frozen spinach
Directions:
1. Throw it all in the blender and turn it on high!
2. Serve over ice and relish in your healthy eating choice!
