Tuesday's Take Time to Care - I hope to use Tuesdays as a day to remind myself how to look outside myself and care about others through volunteering, helping a friend, smiling at a stranger, or encouraging a family member.
Today, take time to surprise a stranger by spending money on them. This TED Talks link is a talk about how money really can buy you happiness...when you spend it the right way. When you spend money by caring for others, you will be happier.
Ideas:
1. Write a check to a charity you like (a favorite hands-on one I like is Donorschoose.org.)
2. Pay the toll for the car behind you.
3. Buy a cup of coffee for the person next to you.
4. Order some flowers to send to your grandparent.
5. Pay for a field trip for a child who wouldn't otherwise get to go.
6. Buy groceries for a military person.
7. Increase your tithe amount to your church.
(and...this isn't an April Fool's joke!)
