Covering an ugly notebook

Over the past year, I have begun shopping more and more at our local community thrift store. You would be surprised how much cool, new stuff people donate! I have picked up two notebooks for $1 that were U.G.L.Y., but they were brand new so I bought them.

When I got home, I found some cheerful scrapbook paper hiding in a paper drawer, pulled out the packaging tape, and found my paper cutter. I laid the notebook on top of the scrapbook paper to get a rough measurement of how big the cut the paper so that it would fold over to the back of the cover. Then, I covered all the paper with packaging tape to keep it in place and to help protect it from water.

And, viola! I have a cute and inexpensive notebook to hold my shopping lists and to-do lists!
