At the risk of jinxing us, I'm pleased to report that our summer food challenges have been successful! This summer our daughter has been able to add watermelon, all colors of peppers, cherries, and grapes. That doesn't sound like a lot of new food, but when you consider each food challenge is two weeks long, it is a lot of new foods! Those four foods represent 8 weeks of food challenges!
You might be asking, what's next on your food challenge list? Let me tell you!
1. Blueberries
2. Bananas
3. Eggs
4. Potatoes
5. Carrots
6. Barley
7. AND......drumroll please....BACON! Because everything just tastes better with bacon. Maybe we'll become a bacon eating vegetarian household :)
We also attempted to food challenge cantaloupe this summer, but she didn't like the taste of it at all. We also tried peas in the spring, but her body began itching all over so we took that as a bad sign!
