Food Challenge: Oats

We've been doing a food challenge since last Thursday (June 30). I've made oat muffins, oat and chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal, oat bars, and oat drops.

Our doctor said that he want her to eat at least 2 good sized serving of each food we challenge for 1.5 to 2 weeks. This means I'll be making even more with oats. Maybe some oat bread, granola, different muffins, etc.

Some of you might be asking, "Why don't you just buy some stuff with oats and feed it to her?" Well, the answer is simple, usually those products (such as Trader Joe's oat o's) are fortified with something. To keep the food challenge as  valid as possible, I need to be just testing oats, not all the fortification stuff.

I'm happy to report that, thus far, the oats seem to be being handled well. I think we'll do white potatoes as the next food challenge.
