Sixth post in "tuesdays with Morrie" series: Death

Mitch and Morrie are on a regular Tuesday meeting schedule to talk about life. At this meeting, they talk about death.

The Fourth Tuesday, We Talk About Death
"The truth is, Mitch, ... once you learn how to die, you learn to live...when you realize you are going to die, you see everything much differently...if you accept that you can die at any time - then you might not be as ambitious as you are...The things you spend so much time on - all this work you do - might not seem as important. You might have to make room for some more spiritual things."

I don't think any of us really like to think about death, but perhaps the awareness of mortality would guide us to a more chosen life. If we knew we were going to have to say goodbye to friends and family, would we spend more time doing something other than working?

I guess it's like that Tim McGraw song, Live Like You Were Dying.

Are you living like you were dying?
