Natural/Organic Acne Reducing Face Washes

For years, I have been dealing with acne. I've visited multiple dermatologists, tried all sorts of prescription drugs, and used many of the over-the-counter acne products to try to cure my acne. After a horrible reaction to a new face wash, my Bowen therapist recommended using raw honey or washing grains.

I had never heard of using raw honey for my skin. I had never even heard of washing grains. But, guess what, they are the best skin care routine I've ever found! I like to use the honey in the morning and the washing grains at night....but that's just me :) When I feel that I want to try to reduce the acne scars, I rotate into the routine rubbing potatoes on my face.

To use Organic Raw Honey to wash your face:
1. Wet your hands.
2. Squeeze a quarter size amount of raw honey into your hand.
3. Gently rub the honey on your face.
4. Brush your teeth.
5. Rinse off the honey with warm water.
6. Use lotion as needed (I like Cetaphil).

Washing Grains Recipe and Directions:
Ingredients:
2 Cups White Clay
1 Cup finely ground oats (organic)
1/8 Cup finely ground lavender (organic)
1/8 Cup finely ground roses (organic)
1/4 Cup finely ground almonds (optional)

Directions:
1. In a clean airtight container, mix together all the ingredients.
2. Fill a smaller container that you can keep in your bathroom (I use cleaned and sanitized old spice jars). Store the the rest of the mixture in that airtight container.
3. Pour 1 teaspoon of mixture into your palm.
4. Add enough water to make a paste.
5. Spread on your face.
6. Brush your teeth and floss.
7. When the scrub has hardened, rinse off.
8. Use lotion as necessary.
(NOTE: I like to buy my ingredients from Mountain Rose Herbs)
