What do you think of my new patio furniture?

Years and years ago, my husband and I received this table and these chairs as a hand-me-down from my parents. We never really used them because they were a stained, ugly white set.

Since we just moved into our new house with our fabulous and amazing deck that backs to woods, we really needed (ok, wanted) new patio furniture. However, the budget is tight, and we won't be buying any new patio furniture anytime soon. I've been watching daily for patio furniture on Freecycle, but haven't "won" any yet.

Soooooo.....I pulled out the ugly, stained, and (now) moldy white patio set from my parents. I went to Home Depot and bought four cans of plastic spray paint. I washed the table chairs with soap and water. I scrubbed the tables with bleach. I cut my thumb. I let them dry.

Then, I started spraying. And spraying. And spraying. Four cans later, and two blisters, I have "new" patio furniture. It's clean! It's prettier! It will do the job of letting us eat outside!!!

It's not a perfect paint job. I did get a little impatient with the painting, but it's perfectly fine for what it is: plastic patio furniture! Time will tell if the paint actually sticks!!!

And....just for fun.....the before pictures:

How did the paint hold up?
